Is this a 2 HP pump or a 1.5 HP pump?

It is listed both ways. The full rating is 2.0 HP with 1.5 OPHP, and some descriptions quote the 1.5 figure on its own. Match the frame, voltage and discharge position to the pump you are replacing rather than going by the horsepower label alone.

What does side discharge mean?

The discharge port sits on the side of the pump body. A center discharge pump of the same horsepower will not line up with plumbing built for side discharge.

What voltage does it need?

115V. This is not the 230V version, so confirm the circuit at the pack before ordering.

Is it an Aqua-Flo or a Gecko pump?

Both names apply. Aqua-Flo is the pump line and Gecko Alliance is the manufacturer behind it, so you will see the Flo-Master XP2 listed under either name.
