The Waterway Executive 3722021-1D is a 5 HP two speed spa pump on a 56 frame motor, plumbed 2 inch on both the intake and the discharge and wired for 230/240 volts. It draws 16.4 amps on high speed and 4.8 amps on low.

Why two speeds

A single speed pump runs flat out whether the spa is filtering or in use. Two speeds split that job: the low speed turns the water over quietly and cheaply through the filter cycle, and the high speed is there when the jets are on. On a system plumbed for it, that is the difference between a pump that runs all day and a power bill that does the same.

Sizing and fit

This is the 56 frame version, which is the heavier motor frame, and it is a 2 inch by 2 inch pump. Check the frame size, the port sizes and the voltage on the pump you are replacing before ordering, because 48 frame and 56 frame units do not swap freely on a spa base.
