This is the King Technology control dial kit, part 01-22-1446, for the above ground cyclers 120, 920, 6100 and 7800.

What the dial does

The control dial regulates how much water is routed through the feeder, and that setting is what determines how quickly the cartridge gives up its sanitizer. When the dial cracks, seizes or spins without engaging, you lose the ability to hold a steady level and the pool swings between too much and too little.
