Product details

The Pentair K01200 is the complete hose assembly for the Kreepy Krauly, supplied in blue. It is made up of twelve sections: eleven male to female lengths and one female to female length, each section 3 feet long.

Why the whole assembly

Cleaner hose ages from the inside. Sections go stiff, take a permanent curl, and start leaking air at the joints, and once several are in that state, replacing them one at a time is slower and costs more than starting again with a full set. Buying the assembly also means every joint in the run is the same age.

Setting the length

Because the run is built from 3 foot sections, the hose is adjustable. The rule is that the cleaner should just reach the furthest point of the pool from the skimmer, with a little slack and no more. Extra sections do not improve coverage; they coil, tangle and slow the cleaner down.

A note on the stated length

This assembly is listed at 40 feet and separately described as twelve 3 foot sections. If the exact overall run matters for your pool, lay the old hose out and measure it before ordering.

Questions and answers

What people ask about this product, answered by our pool techs.

How long is the assembly?
The listing gives it as 40 ft and also describes twelve sections at 3 ft each. Those two figures do not reconcile exactly, so measure the hose you are replacing if the exact run matters.
How many sections are included?
Twelve. Eleven male to female sections and one female to female section.
Is this the complete hose or one section?
The complete hose assembly. Individual 3 ft sections are sold separately.
Why does hose length matter so much?
A suction cleaner only covers what its hose reaches. Short by a couple of sections and a corner never gets cleaned; far too long and the surplus hose coils on itself and the cleaner stalls or climbs out.
