The Raypak 350083F is the genuine OEM LP burner orifice, drilled to #57 for sea level installations. It is listed against the Raypak atmospheric gas heaters in the R206A through R406A range.

Propane, at sea level

Orifice sizing is what sets the gas rate at the burner. This one is specified for propane at sea level. A natural gas heater takes a different orifice, and installations at altitude are derated to another size again. Fitting the wrong orifice does not simply run poorly, it runs at the wrong gas rate, so match the fuel and the elevation on the heater rating plate before ordering.

When to replace them

Orifices are small brass parts that spend years in a hot, sooty environment. They clog, corrode and get deformed when a burner tray is pulled for cleaning. The usual symptom is an uneven flame pattern, with some burners lighting lazily or lifting off while others look normal.

Count what you need

A burner tray uses one orifice per burner. If the whole set has aged together it is worth replacing them as a set rather than chasing one at a time, so count the burners before you order.

Will this work on a natural gas heater?
No. It is the LP orifice, drilled for propane. Natural gas heaters take a different orifice and swapping the wrong one in gives a dangerously wrong gas rate.
What elevation is it for?
Sea level. Installations at altitude are derated and use a different orifice size, so check your heater rating plate.
