What you get

Both o-rings for the connector come in the kit, which is the point of buying it as a kit rather than as loose rings. When a connector is open, renewing both seals at once is the only sensible approach, since the second one is the same age as the first.

Why not a generic o-ring

Seals inside a pool heater live in heat and chemically treated water at the same time. An o-ring in the wrong compound hardens, takes a set or extrudes out of the groove, and the drip comes straight back. The factory kit is specified for the job.
