What the valve does
The gas valve is the component that admits gas to the burner tray when the control system calls for heat, and shuts it off the moment the call ends or a safety opens. When it fails the heater usually goes through its ignition sequence normally and then locks out because no gas ever reaches the burners.
Natural gas only
This is the natural gas version of the valve. A propane LRZE takes a different part, so confirm which fuel your heater is set up for before you order.
Installation
