The Jandy R0454200 is the rear header for the LXi Low NOx pool heater, supplied with the hardware and gaskets needed to fit it. It is the genuine part.
What the header does
The headers close off each end of the heat exchanger and route pool water through it. They see every gallon that passes through the heater, at temperature, which is why they are the part that corrodes and cracks rather than the tubes themselves. Low pH water, high salt levels and a poorly bonded system all shorten their life.
Front or rear
This is the rear header. The front header is a separate part, so trace the leak before ordering rather than guessing from where the water reaches the pad. Water travels along the base of a heater and can appear a long way from the actual crack.
Fitting
Use the gaskets that come with it. A gasket that has been compressed once has taken its set and will not seal again, and a header joint that weeps after reassembly means the whole job comes apart a second time.
