Product details

Sta-Rite U9-369 is the flange o-ring that seals the multiport valve to the filter tank on Cristal-Flo top mount sand filters. It is the genuine Sta-Rite part.

The name to watch

Sta-Rite refers to this seal both as the valve flange o-ring and as the tank flange o-ring for the valve. They are the same part number, U9-369, so either description in a parts list points here.

Where it fits

It is used on the Cristal-Flo top mount sand filter family, with the 1-1/2 in. multiport valve WC112-148 and the 2 in. multiport valve 14971-TM-22-L.

When to change it

Water weeping from the joint where the valve meets the tank is the classic sign. The o-ring hardens and takes a set over years of pressure and chlorine, and it will not reseal once it has. Fit a new one any time the valve is lifted off the tank, and put a thin film of silicone lubricant on it before the valve goes back down.

Why is my filter leaking at the valve?
Most often the flange o-ring has hardened, flattened or split. It is a low cost part and it is the first thing to check before suspecting the tank.
