Product details

The Ocean Blue 581506 is a 6 ft. heavy duty spiral wound filter hose in 1.5 in., the connector hose that links the equipment on an above ground pool.

Why spiral wound

The hose between the pool and the pump is under suction, not pressure. A plain flexible hose flattens under that suction and starves the pump, especially once the filter starts to load. The spiral reinforcement wound into the wall holds the bore open so flow stays steady through the whole cycle.

Built for outdoors

These hoses sit in full sun and take chlorinated splash from the day they go on. This one is made to resist ultraviolet light and pool chemical wear, and the connections are built to seal without weeping at the joints. A hose that has gone stiff and chalky, or has started to crack where the clamps bite, is the one to change before it lets go mid season.
