The Natural Chemistry PHOSfree 15221NCM is a lanthanum based phosphate remover for swimming pools, supplied in a 2 L (67.6 oz) bottle.
What it does
PHOSfree is formulated from lanthanum, a rare earth compound. When it is added to the skimmer, a thin coating forms on the filter media. As pool water flows through the filter, phosphates are reduced to a very low level, near zero. Because it works in the filter, it does not cloud the pool water.
How it is used
Balance the water, clean or backwash the filter if needed, and get the dose from the label chart, based on a phosphate test. With the filter running, shake the bottle well and add the dose directly to the skimmer. Natural Chemistry directs running the filter for 8 hours a day for one week, or 48 hours continuously, without backwashing or cleaning. If a DE filter pressure rises above the normal range, bump the filter as the filter manufacturer directs.
