What the piston does

The piston is at the heart of how these cleaners move. It cycles constantly whenever the cleaner is running, which makes it a wear item rather than a part you expect to keep forever. As it wears, the cleaner starts to hesitate, drift off its pattern or stall in a corner, and owners often chase the hose or the booster pump before they get to it.
