This is the genuine Polaris 6-508-00 universal wall fitting connector assembly, used on the Polaris 165, 160, 65 and Turbo Turtle pool cleaners. It ships as a complete assembly.

What it does

The UWF connector is the link between the cleaner hose and the return line at the pool wall. All the water that drives the cleaner passes through it, and it takes a mechanical load every time the hose is connected or pulled on.

When to replace it

Because it is handled so often, the connector is one of the first parts to crack, leak or lose its grip on the hose. If the cleaner is running weak and the hose and the pump both check out, the wall fitting connector is worth inspecting.
