The Speck 21-80/33 GS Series is a 4 HP self-priming pool pump for 208-230 volt service, built as a high volume, low head pump for installations that need flow more than pressure.
Built to survive the field
Speck fits a mechanical shaft seal designed to take up to an hour of dry running if the pump is mistreated, which is the failure mode that kills most pumps outright. The impeller carries a dielectric shaft sleeve that keeps pool water fully separated from the electrical parts, and every pump is performance tested before it leaves the factory.
Materials and chemistry
The pump parts are 100 percent recyclable plastic, non-corrosive, chemical and UV resistant, and rated to withstand temperatures up to 175 degrees F. The pump is approved for pool water carrying up to 5000 ppm of salt, so it suits a salt chlorinated system.
Service access
Four inch quick disconnect unions let the pump come out without cutting pipe, the motor lifts off without disturbing the plumbing, and the o-rings are reusable. The motor itself is a heavy duty 1081 E-plus and extreme-E energy efficient unit in a large 56 frame, thermally protected, with a PSC switchless design and extra large sealed ball bearings.
