The Pentair WhisperFlo XF in 5 HP, three phase trim is the high flow member of the WhisperFlo family, built for commercial pools and large in ground systems where a standard residential pump runs out of capacity. Part number 022019 is the genuine Pentair pump, wet end and motor together.

Motor

The motor is three phase and totally enclosed, fan cooled (TEFC). The sealed housing keeps water and debris away from the windings and the external fan handles cooling, which suits equipment rooms and outdoor pads that see hose down and weather.

Before you order

Three phase service is required at the pad. If the site has single phase power, this pump will not run and the single phase WhisperFlo XF is the right choice. Because of its size and weight it ships freight rather than parcel.

Will this run on standard residential single phase power?
No. This is the three phase version of the WhisperFlo XF and needs 3PH service. Residential pads with single phase power need the single phase model instead.
What does TEFC mean on the motor?
Totally enclosed, fan cooled. The motor housing is sealed against water and debris and an external fan cools it, which is the usual choice for commercial equipment rooms and outdoor pads.
Is this a complete pump or just the motor?
It is the complete WhisperFlo XF pump: wet end and motor together, ready to plumb in.
How does this ship?
