The Polaris 9-100-8011 is the 1-1/2 inch expansion adapter connector, used to join a wall fitting to smooth pipe. It is the genuine Polaris part.

What it is for

The connection between the pool wall fitting and the pipe behind it has to seal inside the pipe rather than around it, because there is no room to work with an external coupling once the wall is finished. That is the job this expansion connector does.

Use the right part

This connection ends up buried, so a failure there is expensive to reach. Fitting the correct Polaris part instead of improvising with a standard coupling is worth the small difference in cost.
