Product details

Cut for a 16 x 36 ft rectangular inground pool with a right side step, this King99 panel measures 18 x 38 ft. The extra foot on each side is the overlap that reaches the deck, so order against the pool dimension and treat the panel figure as a spec. The step area is 8 ft wide by 4 ft back at the water line.

  • Green mesh listed at 7 oz, with a stated burst strength of 670 PSI.
  • Self draining, so rain and snowmelt pass into the pool and the surface stays clear.
  • Straps on a 5 ft grid, each anchored through a stainless steel spring into flush mount brass hardware.
  • The weave holds back 99 percent of the ultraviolet light that would feed algae through a closed season.

Fabric numbers only tell half the story. A burst strength figure describes the cloth under pressure, but what stops a cover giving way on a pool is the whole assembly: webbing straps carrying the load, springs holding the tension, anchors fixed into the deck. That is what ASTM F1346 tests as a unit, with 485 lb on a cover on a pool more than 8 ft wide, applied as three weights inside a 3 ft radius, plus a requirement to shed standing water within 30 minutes of rain stopping. What does 670 PSI burst strength mean on a pool cover?
It is a measure of how much pressure the fabric takes before it gives way, tested by pushing against a fixed area of the material. It describes the cloth itself. Whether the cover holds a load on the pool also depends on the webbing, the springs and the anchors, which is what the ASTM F1346 static load test measures as a system.
What pool does this cover fit?
