Product details

The PoolTux Royal closing bundle for a 16 by 32 foot oval above ground pool pairs a solid winter cover with a 35k chemical closing kit and a 4.5 by 15 foot air pillow.

The cover

The cover is 5 mil blue on black triple laminated polyethylene with heat sealed seams, cut to 20 by 36 feet so there is a 4 foot overlap on every side once it is staked down.

Holding it in place

A polypropylene cord is sewn into the edge to spread the load, and aluminum grommets sit every three feet for the cable. A deluxe aluminum cable winch and a vinyl coated steel lock down cable are included to pull the cover tight against wind and the weight of snow.

What is in the box

Along with the oval cover, the winch, the cable and a warranty card, the bundle adds a 35k chemical closing kit and a 4.5 by 15 foot air pillow. The kit treats the water as the pool closes for the season, and the pillow floats under the cover, taking the pressure of expanding ice off the wall and crowning the cover so runoff drains to the edges instead of collecting in the middle.

Sizing and warranty

Order to the 16 by 32 foot pool size, not the 20 by 36 foot cover size; the extra footage is the built in overlap. The cover carries a 10 year warranty, with the warranty card included in the box.
