Product details

This is the left step King99 panel for a 16 x 36 ft rectangular pool. The fabric measures 18 x 38 ft, a foot larger on each side than the pool, and that margin is what lies on the deck and gets strapped to an anchor. The step area is 8 ft wide and 4 ft back at the water line.

  • Green mesh, self draining, so rainfall ends up in the pool rather than on the cover.
  • Straps on a 5 ft grid, tensioned with Tension-Tech springs against flush mount brass anchors.
  • The weave stops 99 percent of ultraviolet light, which keeps algae quiet over the closed months.
  • Comes with anchors, springs, the installation rod, a tamping tool and a storage bag.

Take four measurements before ordering any safety cover. Measure the pool at the water line, not across the coping, since the coping is not what the panel is sized to. Note which side the step is on, because a left step cover will not work on a right step pool. Measure the step itself along the wall and out into the water, and check it against the 8 by 4 ft the panel allows. Last, walk the perimeter and confirm there is deck on all four sides. The warranty is 20 years limited, 5 full.

What do I need to measure before ordering a safety cover?
Four things: the pool at the water line rather than across the coping, which side the step is on, how wide the step runs and how far it projects, and whether there is deck on all four sides for anchors. A cover that matches on size but not on step side will not lie flat.
What pool does this fit?
A 16 x 36 ft rectangle with the step on the left. The panel is 18 x 38 ft, which is that rectangle plus a foot of overlap on each side.
What step size does this panel allow for?
Up to 8 ft wide and 4 ft back at the water line. Those are the dimensions the step section is cut to, and they do not change with the pool size, so a generously built step on a 16 x 36 ft pool is worth measuring rather than assuming.
Can I use this if one side of the pool has no deck?
Not as it comes. Every strap ends at an anchor set into the deck, so a side that runs into grass or a planting bed has no anchor point. That side needs a different anchoring approach before a safety cover works.
