Product details

An 18 x 36 ft rectangular pool with its step on the left is what this King99 panel was cut for. The fabric runs 20 x 38 ft, which is the pool plus the foot of overlap on each side that reaches the deck and takes the anchors. The step section allows for a step 8 ft wide and 4 ft back at the water line.

  • Green mesh listed at 7 oz, with 670 PSI of burst strength.
  • Self draining, so rain and snowmelt join the pool instead of sitting on the fabric.
  • Straps on a 5 ft grid, each with a Tension-Tech spring against a flush mount brass anchor.
  • Ships with anchors, springs, an installation rod, a tamping tool and a storage bag.

What you notice about mesh is the opening rather than the closing. Leaves and grit stay on the fabric where they can be swept off before the cover comes up, and with 99 percent of ultraviolet light held at the weave, the water below has had very little to feed an algae bloom. Two things do want attention. The level will be higher than you left it, because every rainfall drained straight through. And the closing dose of algaecide is commonly doubled under mesh, since a weave that passes water passes some light with it. The warranty is 20 years limited, 5 full.

Does a mesh cover make spring opening easier?
It usually does. Leaves and coarse debris stay on top where you can sweep or blow them off, and the weave keeps 99 percent of ultraviolet light off the water, so algae has much less to work with over a closed season. Expect a higher water level, since the rain drained in.
What pool does this fit?
An 18 x 36 ft rectangle with the step on the left. The panel is 20 x 38 ft, a foot larger on each side for the deck overlap.
Will this panel sit over my step?
It allows for a step 8 ft wide and 4 ft back at the water line. Measure yours along the wall and out into the pool at water level, then compare. The cutout is made to that size and cannot be altered once the cover is built.
Should I add algaecide before closing under mesh?
Yes, and a doubled dose is the common practice under a mesh cover. Some daylight reaches the water through any mesh weave, which is exactly the condition algae needs to get started while nobody is looking at the pool.
