This green Royal mesh panel fits an 18 x 40 ft rectangular inground pool with no step, and the fabric itself is cut at 20 x 42 ft. The extra foot along each edge is the deck overlap where the straps land and the anchors go in. On a pool this long it pays to measure twice at the water line before ordering.

Two habits make a mesh cover work well through a long winter. Leave the water no lower than the maker allows, commonly about 18 in below the top of the pool, because it is what carries a snow load.
