Product details

Tan King99 mesh cut for a 20 by 40 ft rectangular pool with a center step. The panel finishes at 22 by 42 ft, a foot larger than the pool on each side, which is the fabric that reaches the deck anchors, and the step section takes a step 8 ft wide and 4 ft back at the waterline.

If you have never bought a safety cover before, the label is the thing to read. ASTM F1346 requires it to state the cover classification, which is the difference between a cover built to hold 485 lb at three points and a winter cover the standard describes as not intended to be a barrier for a child under five. This panel meets ASTM F1346 in the safety class, and its straps, webbing and deck anchors are all part of how it gets there.

How much step does this cover allow for?
The center step area is 8 ft wide and reaches 4 ft back from the waterline. Measure your step across the front at the water and then back toward the wall. Both numbers have to fall inside those figures for the panel to sit properly.
What has to be printed on a safety cover label?
ASTM F1346 section 8.12 requires the label to state which classification the cover is. That is how an owner tells a safety cover from an other cover such as a winter cover, and it is worth reading before the panel goes on the pool for the first time.
Do I need to do anything to the cover over the winter?
Very little. Mesh drains rain and snowmelt into the pool, so there is no pump to check and nothing to pull off the surface. The one thing to remember is that the pool level rises as a result, so check it before you open in the spring.
How long is the warranty on this cover?
PoolTux publishes a 20 year limited warranty on the King99 mesh, the first 5 years of it full. The same fabric specification, 7 oz at 670 psi burst strength, applies across the tan, blue and green panels.
