This Royal panel is made for a 20 x 40 ft rectangular inground pool with the step on the right side. The cover measures 22 x 42 ft, so roughly a foot of fabric reaches the deck on every side once the springs are tensioned. The step section is 8 ft wide and 4 ft back from the pool at the water line, and because it is sewn in one place, the side matters when you order.

One thing worth planning for at closing: mesh passes daylight as well as water, so algae has a little more to work with than it would under a solid panel, and the usual answer is to double the algaecide dose going into the winter.
