Ordered by the pool rather than by the fabric: this King99 panel fits a 20 by 44 ft rectangle whose step sits on the right. The cover measures 22 by 46 ft, and that extra foot all the way round is what reaches the deck where the anchors go. The step section is 8 ft across and 4 ft back at the waterline.

A safety cover is a different class of product from the blue tarp style winter cover. Under ASTM F1346 a winter cover is filed as an other cover and is not meant to act as a barrier for a small child, while a cover in the safety class has to carry 485 lb applied at three points inside a 3 ft radius and shed standing water within half an hour of the rain stopping. The label on a safety cover states which class it belongs to, which is how an owner tells the two apart years later.
