Product details

This King99 mesh panel is made for a 25 by 45 ft rectangular pool with the step on the right hand side, allowing a step 8 ft wide and 4 ft back at the waterline. Finished at 27 by 47 ft, it leaves a foot of fabric on the deck around the pool, which is the working margin for the strap anchors.

It is worth being precise about what a safety cover is. ASTM F1346 divides pool covers into powered safety covers, manual safety covers and a third group of other covers, and a winter cover belongs to that third group, where the standard states it is not meant to act as a barrier for a child under five. Safety covers are the only ones that have to pass the section 7 load test, and the label on the cover has to state which class it falls into. This one meets ASTM F1346 as a manual safety cover.

How do I confirm I need the right step panel?
Stand on the deck at the end of the pool where the step is and note which side it sits on. The cutout is sewn into the panel, so it cannot be moved later. A 25 by 45 ft pool is also made with a center step and a left step.
Where does it say this is a safety cover and not a winter cover?
On the label. ASTM F1346 section 8.12 requires the label to state the cover classification, which is the owner's way to tell a safety cover from an other cover. Winter covers fall in that other group and are not intended as a barrier for children under five.
What size step does the cutout allow?
8 ft of width, running 4 ft back from the waterline. Measure your step at the water rather than at the coping, and if it is larger in either direction the panel will not lie correctly over it.
How long is this cover warranted?
PoolTux lists a 20 year limited warranty on the King99 mesh, with the first 5 years full. Keep the label with your records, since it also carries the cover classification.
