The PoolTux King closing bundle for a 33 foot round above ground pool pairs a solid winter cover with a 35k chemical closing kit and a 4.5 by 15 foot air pillow.

The cover

The cover is 8 mil, built from silver on black triple laminated polyethylene with heat sealed seams. It is cut to 37 feet round, which puts a 4 foot overlap past the pool wall on every side once it is staked down.

Holding it down

Aluminum grommets are set every three feet for the cable. A deluxe aluminum cable winch and a vinyl coated steel lock down cable are included to pull the cover tight and keep it in place through wind and the weight of snow.

What comes in the box

Along with the round cover, the winch and the cable, the box holds a warranty card, a 35k chemical closing kit and a 4.5 by 15 foot air pillow. The chemical kit treats the water as the pool is shut down for the season. The pillow sits under the cover in the middle of the pool, taking the pressure of expanding ice off the wall and crowning the cover so rain and melt water run to the edges instead of collecting in the center.

Sizing and warranty

Order by the 33 foot pool size, not the 37 foot cover size; the extra footage is the overlap built into the cut. The cover carries a 15 year warranty, and the warranty card ships in the box.
