Product details

The PoolTux Royal closing bundle for an 18 by 34 foot oval above ground pool pairs a solid winter cover with a 35k chemical closing kit and a 4.5 by 15 foot air pillow.

The cover

The cover is 5 mil blue on black triple laminated polyethylene with heat sealed seams, cut to 22 by 38 feet so there is a 4 foot overlap past the wall on every side.

Holding it down

A polypropylene cord is sewn into the edge for reinforcement, and aluminum grommets are set every three feet for the cable. A deluxe aluminum cable winch and a vinyl coated steel lock down cable are included to pull the cover tight and keep it there through wind and snow load.

What comes in the box

Along with the oval cover, the winch, the cable and a warranty card, the bundle includes a 35k chemical closing kit and a 4.5 by 15 foot air pillow. The kit treats the water as the pool is closed for the season, and the pillow floats under the cover, taking the pressure of expanding ice off the wall and crowning the cover so rain and melt water run to the edges instead of pooling in the middle.

Sizing and warranty

Order to the 18 by 34 foot pool size, not the 22 by 38 foot cover size; the extra footage is the overlap built into the cut. The cover carries a 10 year warranty, and the warranty card ships in the box.
