Product details

The PoolTux BB0028 is an Ultra Premium solid winter cover for a 28 ft round above ground pool. The cover itself measures 32 ft round, which puts 4 ft of overlap around the pool so there is material to work with when you cable it down.

How it is built

This is the heavy end of the range: 14 mil material with a commercial grade 14 by 14 scrim count and the heaviest coating in the industry, fully bound at the edges with commercial grade material and thread. A polypropylene cord is sewn into a double stitched hem, and two non-rusting aluminum grommets sit every 3 feet along it. UV inhibitors keep the sun from breaking the cover down, and the black underside starves algae of light through the closed season.

What comes in the box

The round winter cover, a deluxe aluminum cable winch, a vinyl coated steel lock down cable and the warranty card. That is everything needed to close and secure the pool. The cover carries a 25 year manufacturer warranty.

What to expect at opening

A solid cover keeps leaves, dirt and light out entirely rather than filtering them. Pools closed under one generally open clear rather than green, which is the difference between a weekend of chemicals and an afternoon of vacuuming.
