Pool Season pH Up is a granular pH increaser for swimming pools, supplied in a 5 lb pouch. It is 100% sodium carbonate, the material usually sold as soda ash.
What it does
pH that has drifted low is corrosive. It attacks plaster and grout, etches surfaces, goes to work on metal parts around the equipment pad, and it stings eyes. It also blunts the sanitizer, so a pool can carry a correct chlorine reading and still struggle to stay clear. Raising pH back into range addresses all of that at once.
Alkalinity
This product is formulated to move pH with minimal effect on total alkalinity, which makes it the right choice when pH alone is low. Where total alkalinity also needs to come up, an alkalinity increaser does that job and will carry pH with it.
