Product details

The Jandy 6796 is the two speed motor relay kit for AquaLink RS control systems. It also appears under part number 9238-18.

What it adds

A two speed pump has a low setting for filtration and a high setting for cleaning, heating and skimming. Without a relay the control system cannot choose between them, so the pump runs on whatever speed the switch was left on. This kit puts that choice under the panel, so the schedule can hold the pump on low most of the day and call for high only when something needs it.

Ratings and fit

The kit supports motors up to 2 HP at 220 VAC with a maximum of 20 amps. It is intended for Zodiac and Polaris brand control systems, including AquaLink RS. Check the motor nameplate against those ratings before ordering, since a larger motor needs different switching.

High voltage wiring should be done by someone qualified to work on it.
