Do I need this to use OmniX equipment?
No. The gateway is optional. OmniX equipment works without it; the gateway adds control and monitoring when you are away from home.
Where does the gateway install?
Inside the home, where it joins your home network. It communicates with the pool equipment over a sub-GHz link.
What app does it use?
The Hayward OmniX app. Once the gateway is on your network, the app gives you remote access to the connected equipment.
Will it work with my older Hayward equipment?
It is built for OmniX enabled equipment. Confirm your equipment is OmniX enabled before ordering; if it is not, the gateway has nothing to connect to.
