The Pentair RLYSC3HP is the power relay used in ComPool LX220 and LX820 solar control systems. It operates at 3 HP and carries an additional 25 ampere current.

What the relay does

A control system decides when equipment should run, but it is the relay that makes and breaks the power to it. Every solar valve actuator, pump or auxiliary circuit the panel commands passes through one, and the contacts inside carry that load every time.

How they fail

Relay contacts pit and burn with use. The panel keeps reporting the circuit as on while nothing actually runs, or the circuit chatters and drops out under load. Confirm with a meter on the load side while the coil is energized, and replace the relay rather than chasing the equipment.

Work inside a control panel means live line voltage. If you are not comfortable with that, have a qualified technician do the swap.
