Product details

The UltraPure 3403410 is a straight compression fitting with a 1/4 inch MPT thread on one end and a 3/8 inch tube compression connection on the other.

What it connects

It is the joint between a threaded 1/4 inch port and a run of 3/8 inch tubing. The thread screws into the port, the tubing pushes into the compression end, and tightening the nut sets the ferrule onto the tube.

Why compression

A compression joint can be taken apart and remade, which matters on tubing that gets replaced periodically. It also needs no cement and no hose clamp, so the connection is made with two wrenches and nothing else.

What size tubing does it take?

3/8 inch tube on the compression end.

What does the other end thread into?

A 1/4 inch female pipe thread port. The fitting has a 1/4 inch MPT male thread.

Is this an elbow?

No. It is a straight fitting, so the tube leaves in line with the port.

Does it need cement or a clamp?

No. It is a compression connection, so the nut and ferrule grip the tubing when the fitting is tightened.
