Raypak Copper Tube Bundle for Model 156A Pool Heater

The Raypak 014875F is the genuine copper tube bundle for the Raypak model 156A pool heater. The tube bundle is the heat exchanger at the heart of the heater: pool water runs through the copper tubes while the burners heat them from below, and everything the heater does depends on that exchange working cleanly.

When to replace it

Scale from hard or poorly balanced water, corrosion from low pH or high chlorine, and freeze damage all attack the tubes over time. The symptoms are a heater that short cycles or trips on high limit, falling heat output, or water dripping from the exchanger into the burner tray. Once a tube is leaking, replacing the bundle as a complete assembly is the practical repair.

Before you order

This bundle is specific to the 156A. Raypak makes a different bundle for each heater size, so confirm the model number on your heater's rating plate. While the heater is apart, it is a good time to check the headers and gaskets that seal against the bundle and replace anything worn.
