The Jandy S2046A is the dual style sensor for the Levolor water leveler, supplied with a 50 foot cord. It is the genuine Jandy part.
Two ways to install
Dual style means the sensor works in either of the two common mounting positions: in the skimmer throat, or in a static pipe set at the target water line. Which one suits a pool depends on how the plumbing was run, and having both options in one part number avoids ordering the wrong version.
The part that does the sensing
A Levolor system only knows the pool is low because this sensor tells it. When the sensor scales up, fills with debris or takes damage along the cord, the leveler either runs the fill valve when it should not or never opens it at all. Replacing the sensor is a far smaller job than replacing the controller.
The 50 foot cord covers the run back to the equipment pad on most residential pools.
