Teledyne Laars R0472500 is the pool and spa control used on LRZM model heaters. It is the assembly that tells the heater which body of water it is firing for.

What it does

On a combined pool and spa system the heater has to know whether it is heating the pool or the spa, because the two run at very different temperatures. The pool and spa control is the switching and setting assembly that makes that call and passes it through to the heater controls.
