The Teledyne Laars R0023000 is a high-limit switch rated at 150 degrees F, used across a wide range of Jandy Laars pool heaters.

What it does

The high limit is a safety cutout. It watches water temperature and shuts the heater down if that temperature climbs past its setpoint, which protects the heat exchanger and everything downstream of it. Because it is a safety device, it is not a part to bypass or defeat when it starts acting up.

Before you replace it
