Product details

The Raypak 006737F is a direct mount pressure switch rated at 1.75 psi. It is a new OEM Raypak part, listed for the R185A, R265A and R335A pool heaters.

What it does

A heater will not fire until it knows water is moving through it. The pressure switch is what supplies that proof: at 1.75 psi it closes and lets the ignition sequence continue. If it does not close, the heater sits idle no matter what the thermostat asks for.

Fitting

This version mounts straight onto the header, so there is no remote bracket or sensing tube to route.

Diagnosis first

Before condemning the switch, confirm the filter is clean, the valves are open and the pump is priming and holding prime. Low flow from any of those causes produces the same symptom as a failed switch.

Raypak R185A, R265A and R335A pool heaters. It is a direct mount switch designed to fit Raypak heaters.
What does 1.75 psi mean here?
It is the pressure at which the switch closes. Below that the heater treats the system as having no flow and will not fire.
My heater will not fire even though the pump runs. Is this the part?
It is a common cause. If the filter is clean, the valves are open and the pump is priming properly, a pressure switch that no longer closes is the next thing to check.
How does it mount?
Directly onto the header, so there is no external tubing or bracket to fit.
