The Raypak 018304F is the auto limit kit rated at 150F for Raypak gas pool heaters. It is the genuine Raypak part, supplied as a kit.
What the limit does
An automatic limit is a temperature safety. It watches the water leaving the heater, and if that water gets hotter than the limit allows, it opens the circuit and the heater stops firing. It is the control that keeps a heater from cooking itself and the plumbing around it when something else in the system goes wrong.
Before you order
Raypak builds limits at more than one temperature rating, and fitting the wrong one either nuisance trips the heater or lets it run hotter than it should. Read the rating printed on the limit you are removing and confirm it is 150F. If a limit has been opening repeatedly, replace it and then find out why the heater was overheating, because a fresh limit on an unresolved fault will trip again.
