Why harnesses fail
The inside of a heater cabinet is a hot place for a connector to live. Over years of cycling, terminals discolor, insulation goes brittle and spade connectors lose their spring. The fault that follows is intermittent: the heater locks out on high limit, then runs fine when someone wiggles the wiring. Replacing the harness clears that class of fault properly instead of chasing it.
