The Pentair 360140 is the genuine cartridge assembly for the Kreepy Krauly Prowler 820 and Prowler 830 robotic pool cleaners.

What it does

A Prowler carries its own filtration. Everything the cleaner lifts off the floor and walls stays inside this cartridge until you pull it out and rinse it, which means the cartridge decides how much the machine can pick up in one run and how strongly it keeps pulling.

When to change it

Rinse the cartridge at the end of each cycle. Replace it once the pleats no longer come clean, once the media is torn, or once the assembly has lost its shape and no longer seats properly. A cleaner that drives its normal pattern but leaves dirt behind is usually telling you the cartridge is finished.

Running a spare

Many owners keep a second cartridge on hand. The cleaner goes back in the water immediately while the used cartridge dries, and a dry cartridge shakes out far more cleanly than a wet one.
