Product details

The Pentair 263064 is the genuine push pull valve kit in 2 inch PVC slide form, with a 7.5 inch centerline and slip connections.

How a push pull valve works

Rather than a multiport handle that indexes around a set of ports, a slide valve moves a shaft up and down inside the body. Pull it up to backwash, push it down to filter. There are fewer positions to get wrong and a smaller pressure drop through the valve, which is why Pentair fits them to the larger DE and side mount sand filters.

What it fits

Pentair lists this kit for the FNS Plus range in all four sizes, FNSP24, FNSP36, FNSP48 and FNSP60, for the Quad D.E. filters QUAD60, QUAD80 and QUAD100, and for the Triton II side mount sand filter.

Before you cut

Measure the centerline of the valve you are removing. This kit is built to 7.5 inches, and matching that dimension is what decides whether the new valve drops into the existing plumbing or forces a repipe.
