The Skimlite 8016 is a two piece telescoping pool pole from the 8000 Fiberglass Series, extending from 8 feet to 16 feet with the Outside Lock system.

Why fiberglass

A nonmetal pole brings two advantages a pool professional cares about. It does not conduct electricity, and it does not transmit hot and cold temperatures, so a pole that has been sitting in the sun or lying in the cold is still comfortable to pick up.

The Outside Lock system

Outside Lock has been a Skimlite design since 1959 and is made of the strongest plastics available. The nylon male fitting is pressed onto the outside tube under a ton of pressure, so it will not fall off in use. The female and ferrule fittings are the parts that see wear, and both are easily replaced, which means a pole in daily service can be kept going rather than replaced outright.

Range

Two sections give a working range from 8 feet to 16 feet: short enough to be manageable for brushing close in, long enough to reach the far side of most residential pools. The pole is American made.
