Where a chlorine test strip is built around free and total chlorine, the 561627A is designed for pools and spas that use a biguanide sanitizer instead, and it works alongside a range of Baquacil brand biguanide products. Biguanide reads from 0 to 50 ppm, total alkalinity from 0 to 240 ppm, and pH from 6.2 to 8.4, giving a biguanide pool owner the same at-a-glance water test that chlorine users get from a standard strip.

How to read it

Dip the strip briefly in pool or spa water and compare the three pad colors to the reference chart to get the biguanide, alkalinity, and pH readings at once. The strips are supplied on a blister card, so a fresh strip is ready to dip each time without exposing the rest of the card to moisture.
