What the assembly does
A multiport valve is really two halves: a body that stays plumbed to the filter and the returns, and a top assembly carrying the handle, stem and diverter that decide where water goes. Everything that moves, and therefore everything that wears, lives in the top half. That is what this part replaces.
Fitting
