Product details

The Jandy R0987700 is the top valve assembly for the SFTM24-2.0 multiport valve, the valve fitted to Jandy SFTM top mount sand filters. It is the genuine Jandy part.

What the assembly does

A multiport valve is really two halves: a body that stays plumbed to the filter and the returns, and a top assembly carrying the handle, stem and diverter that decide where water goes. Everything that moves, and therefore everything that wears, lives in the top half. That is what this part replaces.

Fitting

Because the assembly lifts off the top of the multiport, the filter tank and the sand bed are left alone. Confirm that your valve is the SFTM24-2.0 before ordering, since the assembly is matched to that valve.

Do I have to open the filter to fit it?
No. The top valve assembly comes off the top of the multiport, so the tank and the sand bed stay undisturbed.
