The Jandy R0792000 is the genuine outlet tube O-ring for the CV, CL, DEV and DE filters. It has a 2 inch inside diameter.
Where it seals
The outlet tube is the port that carries filtered water out of the tank. This O-ring is the seal on that tube, and it is a different part from the large tank body O-ring that sits under the clamp band.
Why it matters
If the outlet tube seal is compressed flat, cracked or nicked, water can find a path around the element instead of through it. The filter still runs and the pressure still looks normal, but fine dirt comes straight back to the pool. Since this ring is exposed every time the tank is opened for a cartridge or grid cleaning, that is the natural point to inspect it and change it if it is not still round and supple.
