The Jacuzzi 47056999R is the 20 inch tank o-ring for Tri-Clops cartridge filters. It is the seal between the tank halves, the one the band clamp compresses when the filter is closed up.
When to replace it
Tank o-rings are the most common reason a cartridge filter weeps at the seam. The rubber takes a set in its groove, and once the tank has been opened it often will not seat the same way again. Anyone opening a Tri-Clops to change cartridges is better off putting a new o-ring in while the tank is apart than chasing a drip afterwards.
Fitting notes
Seat the o-ring fully in its groove before bringing the halves together, and use a pool rated silicone lubricant. Petroleum based grease will break the rubber down. Jacuzzi lists this part for the Tri-Clops range, with the parts diagram covering the TC-300, TC-450 and TC-600 and the part also carried against the TC-330, TC-440 and TC-550.
