Product details

The Jacuzzi 02136802R is the motor housing bracket used on the Magnum, Magnum Plus and Magnum Force pumps. It is also listed under the Splash Pak UD-S pump models. This is the genuine Jacuzzi part.

What it does

The bracket ties the motor to the pump housing and carries the clamping load that keeps the two halves together. It is a quiet part in normal service, which is why it tends to be overlooked until the motor starts to move against the housing.

Why it wears out

Equipment pads are damp places and pool chemistry is unforgiving. Brackets corrode from the outside in, thin at the stress points and eventually crack. If the old one comes off in poor condition, look at the mounting nut and ratchet at the same time. Those are separate Jacuzzi parts and there is little point putting new hardware onto a bracket that is already gone, or the reverse.

Questions and answers

What people ask about this product, answered by our pool techs.

Which pumps does this bracket fit?
It is listed in the Jacuzzi Magnum, Magnum Plus and Magnum Force pump parts breakdown, and is also carried under the Splash Pak UD-S pump models.
Is the mounting hardware included?
The listing covers the bracket. Jacuzzi sells the mounting nut and ratchet as separate parts.
Is this a genuine Jacuzzi part?
Yes. Jacuzzi part number 02136802R.
Why do these brackets fail?
Corrosion. A bracket sitting in a damp equipment pad takes years of moisture and chemistry, and once it thins or cracks it can no longer hold the motor firmly against the housing.
