Product details

This is the Jacuzzi filter lock ring, part number 42367102R, also written 42-3671-02-R. It is a new OEM part.

Where it fits

The ring is used on Jacuzzi SherLok cartridge filters in models SHER80, SHER120, SHER160 and SHER200, and on Jacuzzi Avalanche DE filters in models AV40, AV60, AV80 and AV100. It may suit other Jacuzzi filter models, so compare it against the ring you are taking off.

Why it matters

The lock ring is what clamps the filter lid onto the body, and it is holding back the full working pressure of the system. Rings crack from age, from being overtightened, and from being knocked during cartridge changes. If yours is split, distorted or will no longer draw the halves together evenly, replace it before the filter goes back under pressure. Replacing the tank o-ring at the same time saves a second teardown.

Questions and answers

What people ask about this product, answered by our pool techs.

Which filters does this lock ring fit?
Jacuzzi SherLok cartridge filters SHER80, SHER120, SHER160 and SHER200, and Jacuzzi Avalanche DE filters AV40, AV60, AV80 and AV100. It may fit other Jacuzzi filter models as well.
Is 42367102R the same as 42-3671-02-R?
Yes. It is the same Jacuzzi part number written with and without the dividing dashes.
Does the tank o-ring come with it?
No. The lock ring is supplied on its own. The tank o-ring is a separate part, and replacing both together is a good idea if the filter has been leaking at the seam.
My ring is cracked but still holds. Can I leave it?
No. The lock ring is the only thing holding a pressurised tank closed. A cracked ring can let go under pressure, so replace it before the filter goes back into service.
