This is the genuine Jacuzzi Bros lock ring, a new OEM part that serves across three different Jacuzzi filter families.

What it fits

The ring is listed for the CFR 50, CFR 75, CFR 100 and CFR 150 cartridge filters, the Landslide LS40, LS55 and LS70 DE filters, and the Sand Trap ST27 and ST33 sand filters. One part covering cartridge, DE and sand filters is unusual, and it is worth noting if you service a mix of older Jacuzzi equipment.

Two part numbers

Our records carry this part as 42285007 and also as 42-2850-07-R. Both point at the same ring, so do not be put off if the number in your parts manual is written the other way.

Why it matters

The lock ring holds the filter closed against system pressure. A ring that is cracked, distorted or no longer pulls the halves together evenly is not a cosmetic problem. Replace it rather than tightening around it, and inspect the sealing surfaces and the O-ring while the filter is open.
